I was born in Staines, UK, in 1967 but grew up on the Isle of Wight from the age of two. I married for the first time in 1990 and was blessed with daughters in 1993 and 1995. After separating in 1996, I remarried in 1999. Sadly, my second wife was diagnosed with skin cancer in 2001 and passed away in 2004. Since then, I have married and divorced again. I currently live in Southampton. In 2016, I became a grandfather to a wonderful little boy, who was joined in 2021 by a sister and, later that year, a cousin—a grandson from my youngest daughter. In the summer of 2023, she gave me the ultimate joy during my recovery from neurosurgery by bringing another little boy into the world. Another granddaughter arrived in 2024.
In late 2021, I met a wonderful woman, and we married in February 2023. Along with bringing me an amazing life, a stepdaughter, and another grandson, she has given me renewed determination to manage my condition so we can fully enjoy life together. We also look forward to visiting Zambia more often to see our family and explore the country’s incredible sights.
I have worked in IT since 1984. From 1991 to 2024, I served at the acute hospital in Southampton, where I was Chief Technology Officer. Following medical retirement in April 2024 and further neurosurgery, I now work part-time as a freelance healthcare IT consultant.
