Dr Patel rang, following up on the email as she had just returned from leave and wanted to make sure someone had been in touch with me. She confirmed that Mr Sepahi had written stating that surgery would be required urgently, and so asked if I had a date. I have to say a much more caring approach than the surgeon! I asked if my arm symptoms might just be a case of twinging a nerve due to compensating for the leg problems (carrying my bag differently for example). She said that was a possibility but I should have the MRI to make sure there isn’t something else. She advised me to contact Vicky when I’ve had the MRI and Dr Patel will take a look at the images straight away, rather than waiting for the report.
