Results of the second MRI received.
Clinical History : Thoracic cord herniation syndrome repeat high resolution CISS sequence scan recommended member of staff on extension 8561
MRI Spine Thoracic : See MRI spine cervical
MRI Spine Cervical : Sagittal T2 and CISS sequences, and comparison is made with the previous MRI study. The distortion of the cord opposite T2-3 is again noted with cord herniation through a gap in the theca into the anterior epidural space, which is widened at this level. Appearances are unchanged compared with the previous MRI. As previously there are degenerative changes at C4-5 and C5-6 with disc osteophytic bars mildly indenting the theca but not distorting the cord. No neural compromise as seen on sagittal images at these two levels.
Had a call back from Mr Sepahi to confirm that he is ordering a cervical spine MRI to see if there is anything else causing the arm symptoms.
