Surgery booked!

Mr Sepahi offered a surgery date of 15th June.  I already had a phone appointment booked with the GP about my cholesterol and other bloods (nothing particularly of concern).  I mentioned the delay in surgery, and she felt I should speak to Mr Sepahi again to see if another 3 weeks is acceptable.  I also mentioned that I have been quite constipated for 5-6 days.  She will prescribe something to make sure that is sorted before I have surgery as, in her words, I’m going to feel awful after that sort of surgery, and may well be constipated from the pain killers etc!

I spoke to Mr Sepahi again.  He explained that the neural monitoring is required during the surgery (not before it as I had previously thought), and it has to be organised with a 3rd party.  He would operate sooner if I really feel the symptoms have got that bad, but he would be surprised if things had worsened that quickly, and also explained that the risks were much higher without the neural monitoring.
