Pre-assessment appointment at SGH. BP is high again (147/96 I think), but nothing of concern prior to operation. Can expect to have more pain this time as it is the same wound being opened, so pencilled in for 4-5 days stay in hospital. Need to assess how capable Cat is for looking after me and notify them if I might need longer in hospital so I am more mobile when I am discharged. Definitely no lifting more than a half filled kettle for at least 2 weeks post-surgery, and doing gentle exercise – walking etc. They will most probably contact me around 2 weeks prior to surgery, but I am on the short-notice list so might be called earlier if they have a cancellation.
Email from Katie suggesting that, once I know my surgery date, I book in with outpatient physio no less than 2 weeks post-op so she can start treatment again.
