I had a rough night last night. I think this was more to do with the ongoing stomach pains from where I swing between constipation and diarrhoea than the back pain. I know I was scratching quite a bit but I’m not aware that in itself kept me awake. I eventually crashed out to the extent that I awoke with a start at 11:30 and had to rush around to get to the GP surgery for the nurse to check the healing. The nurse is pleased with the way it has healed, and the holes from the staples are healing well so I am at last free from any dressings. I just need to keep applying vasoline to stop it from drying out.
