Following the call from the GP yesterday about the letter she had received from Mr Sepahi, I received a copy in the post today. In addition to the proposal to change me to gabapentin, the letter also confirms that Mr Sepahi has written to Mr Adrian Casey for a second opinion. Mr Casey is a spinal neurosurgeon at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital and the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery. He is also president of the British Association of Spine Surgeons. I’m not sure at the moment whether I will need to go and see him, or whether he will provide an opinion based on my MRI images and reports.
