Same old story

The pain has continued at what I now consider an elevated level compared to what I expect. It’s been another frantic week at work. I was supposed to have started a 5 day weekend as of 5pm on Wednesday, but found out at about 4.30 I am due to present something different to what I was expecting at a workshop in the morning. I consequently spent most of Wednesday evening and another aborted days leave on Thursday sorting that out.

I went for what I was about to refer to as my 6 monthly testosterone level check on Thursday. It’s actually become a 10 weekly check for the last few months, as my normal 12 weekly injection cycle hasn’t been keeping my level within range, so the GP has been trying to gauge how frequently I need it. Every 10 weeks is seeming about right based on the last couple of checks, so hopefully this one will confirm that. I also had my BP checked again while I was there. Somewhat differing results from 132/94 to 152/92. Either way, they’re not good.

Didn’t do a lot over the Easter weekend other than play way too much Elder Scrolls on the Xbox. We did get a few things done around the house in terms of tidying and decorating. We also took a drive around a few areas to see where some bungalows are that we’ve had an eye on. It basically resulted in us deciding areas we don’t want to live in, rather than identifying properties we might want to go and view. Still, it all helps when we’re eventually ready to move I suppose.

Biggest achievement was going for a walk around one of the Testwood lakes, in that I carried my stick all the way around the not quite a mile lap. Ok, so I was holding Cat’s hand most of the way, but still felt fairly pleased.
