GP review

Spoke to Dr Godwin today. My BP is fine on the new tablets, and in fact if anything it’s dropped quite quickly so I need to check I don’t start getting light headed, as that might indicate my BP has dropped too much.

I also asked about taking the diazepam and oral morphine for my MRI. Dr Godwin suggested I give it a trial run, one day when I don’t have much to do. She was surprised Dr Hashimi had prescribed me 5mg tablets of diazepam as they only usually prescribed them in 2mg form. She advised I take half a 5mg tablet an hour or so before I want it to take effect, and if it doesn’t work, then take another half. The oral morphine should take effect within about 20 minutes, and should last for 4 hours – so plenty of time for the MRI.
