I started the day with a physio appointment. I’ve been getting some odd pains in my right knee for several months and eventually started to wonder if it’s related to my spinal cord issues or perhaps something else. Having spoken to the triage person at the GP practice a few weeks ago and advised I needed a face to face appointment with a GP, I was eventually offered an appointment with the physio while I wait. The physio took a brief medical history and checked how my knee was working and then asked me to try some exercises to see if it triggered the pain in my knee. It didn’t but it exacerbated the pain in my back quite significantly and it’s been like that for the rest of the day. 🤦♂️ Conclusion was there might be a bit of an issue with my knee cap, but no apparent cartilage or general joint issue. It could possibly be a sign of arthritis. Not a total surprise if it is given I have it in a few fingers and toes. He’s given me some exercises to try for a couple of months, and if the problem persists I’m to go back and they will organise an X-ray.
Anyway, on a more positive note, I got notified of the date for my surgical pre-assessment appointment. It’s on 15th May, so in terms of timing that sounds about right to be on track for surgery on 1st June. 🤞🏻
