Ian has been seen by Anaesthetic and Registrar. He is most likely to go in this afternoon for the surgery . Finger crossed🤞🏿
Now , as we are sitting in the waiting and next to Ian is a lady who’s also come to see the Specialists . We then start to talk casually , but then she coincidentally shares about her own experience of having had a spinal cord stimulator for nearly six years and describes the experience as ‘life changing ‘ (in a positive way) . It’s been quite encouraging to hear about this from a lived experience! Ruth Brewer
Dear Ruth
Thank you for the updates- I have also had some news from Ian. It’s a shame he has to wait until this afternoon (probably) but it was really helpful to talk to the lady next to him. It will be especially comforting for him to know that she felt her surgery had been worth while.
Keep smiling Love from sylvia
Let me know which ward he is in eventually please.
