I blame the meds for my stupidity 🤦‍♂️

I had a decent sleep last night, only really waking for obs to be done and taking the opportunity to change position. I’d been moved into a side room last night – I’m assured that was because I was a well-behaved patient and not because I was disrupting the others. 😀

Relatively early the HCA brought in some stuff for me to wash myself and then left me to it. Unfortunately I got the bed rather wet, and so, seeing the chair right next to the bed, figured I could shuffle myself across to it. I did manage that, but bloody hell did it hurt – and there I’d been, so pleased that I wasn’t in a huge amount of pain when I woke up. 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️ I’ve had some oramorph now and I’m able to enjoy being sat in the chair for breakfast.

Mr Mundil has been to see me, and is pleased with what I’m reporting in terms of the original pain. He would still like to try some more settings with the Abbott technician to see if there is any further improvement to be had, and whether he can target my foot as well. Given the positive response so far though he is planning to get me back into theatre for the permanent fitting on Thursday and then discharge me on Friday.

My left leg is still very weak, but I will have more physio today to try to strengthen that.
