I’m thrilled to share some exciting news with you all. A few months ago, I received an invitation to write an article for Forward magazine. This is the publication from the Spinal Injuries Association!
Each issue they publish an article about members’ experiences on holiday. I was reading one such article (about going on a cruise) shortly after returning from Zambia. I told them about the blog posts I’d just written about my experience. They invited me to write it up as a feature for their Autumn issue. I can’t share the full article here due to the magazine’s subscription model. However, I wanted to give you a sneak peek with a little snippet.

It’s been an incredible experience to contribute to such a respected platform. I hope my words resonate with readers. I also hope they offer valuable perspectives. My readers know I have no journalistic skills. I was asked for 700-900 words. I ended up giving them about 2,400 words. I had given up trying to cut it down any further. I take some comfort though because my brother-in-law gave me a gentle nod of approval. He is quite a prominent journalist in Zambia.
If you’re interested in reading the full piece, I highly recommend checking out their website. You can explore more at the Spinal Injuries Association – Forward Magazine.
