I’ve been getting a real sense of missing the etoricoxib in the last few days. I was going to work for a couple of days this week and then take today and tomorrow off ahead of Friday’s surgery, but I realised on Monday that it wasn’t going to be practical, nor necessary. Having worked until gone midnight trying to get sorted the night before my planned surgery last week, it felt very weird finishing a Teams meeting at about 5.30 on Monday and basically just shutting down my laptop, as I’d done all the prep I needed the week before and the work I did Friday and Monday was all “bonus” things.
I asked the neuromodulation team for some info about the scs that Mr Mundil is planning to use, and was informed today that he intends to put in a Penta electrode if there is space. These are slightly wider than other types, but are certified for MRI use, so that could be useful for future diagnostics. If there is insufficient space then it will be a slimmer type, but that will not be MRI safe. Presuming the trial is successful, he then intends to fit a Proclaim XR5 battery unit (if links on that page don’t work, scroll right down, as the option to accept cookies seems to disappear to the bottom of the page rather than overlaying the page).
One more day to go. 🤞🏻
