No sooner had a said that I’d be coming off the PCA pump this afternoon than it ran out, so they didn’t bother replacing it. I’ve been prescribed ibuprofen PRN on top of my regular NSAID Etoricoxib. They will give me other relief as needed.
The Physios came not long after and have also had my lidocaine patches represcribed. Due to the dressings I can’t have the patch quite where I normally would, but it seems to have done a decent enough job controlling the back pain during the day.
When the physios got me out of bed I was very wobbly standing up so just transferred to the chair for a bit. The lead physio was one I saw last year, along with a trainee who frankly looked like he should be a basketball or American football player! They will be back tomorrow to see if I’ve improved and see if I can walk around the bed.
Pain increased gradually over the afternoon, and I got a very bad headache as well. I was given some tramadol and was able to get a couple of hours sleep. Since waking up the back, neck and head pains are all a mild to moderate, and I’ve just had my evening Pregabalin, duloxetine, steroids which should see me through the night … Now if the assortment of laxatives I’m taking would like to do their job, I reckon I might feel reasonably comfortable. 😏
