Hydrotherapy 

I’ve just had my first session in the hydrotherapy pool. Started off just walking up and down the pool and I found I could pretty much walk normally without holding on to anything. Still a bit wobbly, more so on the left leg, but so much better than walking on land. We then did a bit of walking backwards and bingo – wobbliness gone. 🙂

Next exercise was taking long, high strides and I started wobbling again.  Following that I had various exercises using a woggle. I found it really interesting that I was having a bit of trouble keeping myself balanced floating on the woggle as well, so it’s not just my legs that throw my balance out. I didn’t feel too bad when we stopped. Getting out and walking back to the changing room felt a bit unnerving, not having the water supporting me and not having my stick to hand, plus being on a slightly wet floor.  By the time I’d got changed and walked out to where Cat picks me up I was absolutely knackered and starting to feel it in my back again.
