I’ve had another few very bad nights recently and consequently have felt really crap during the day. Yesterday was puppy class again, but again didn’t feel up to it, so I took them to the class and sat in the car and did some work and then did a few hours work when I got home. Generally had a bit of a relaxed day after that.
Last night was bad again. I had quite a lot of pain as well as having all sorts of things on my mind. This morning Cat and I played a bit of Xbox and then after lunch made a start on cutting the rather long grass. Bloody typical that the nice weekend weather turned to rain within 5 minutes of starting to mow the front. Anyway, we eventually got the whole lawn done. I was absolutely knackered and in a lot of pain by the time we finished, but I was determined to finally get back out on the push bike. After a bit of a break and a few stretches I got the bike out. I intended to just go round the short block, but felt ok so went a bit further before turning back and did just over a mile in the end. The actual cycling bit was fine – no problem with my legs and only a bit of pain in my back, but that was eased by doing a few stretches of the upper body as I rode. Getting on and off wasn’t exactly as simple as it should be. I think it comes down again to the inability to know exactly where my legs are in relation to the bike when I try to swing my leg over it. That aside it was a real sense of achievement getting back out on the bike, even if there is a bit of me that knows I should’ve done it several weeks ago.
