Pain manageable, legs not so much

I think in general I’d have to say my days haven’t been much different regardless of whether I’ve had tramadol or not, so I’m going to reduce to every third day and see how that is. What has been an increasing problem is my legs. I’m seeing a lot more of a problem getting up in the night with wobbling and more frequent episodes of the giving way when I first get out of bed. Once I’ve initially got myself up and moving in the morning, I seem to cope for most of the day, but by the evening it’s bad again. Something I’ve noticed the last few evenings is that I can gradually get myself up so far, but as I try to fully straighten my body it’s like it triggers something in my left hip/groin that causes my left leg to shake and I have to bend over slightly again.

I had another rough night again last night, although I’m not sure that was particularly down to my back. I was pretty uncomfortable, but I can’t say it was particularly painful. What I did have was severely block sinuses, and around 3.30 I got the sort of headache I usually only get with a hangover. Cat put some wine in the casserole yesterday which I’d commented tasted quite strong, and I’d felt a bit hot in the face after, which I put down to the fact that, with the exception of the night of the Christmas party, I’d not had any alcohol for >9 months. I’m now wondering if it was the wine or my sinuses that caused the headache, or a combination, but it screwed my night up, and I really need some sleep right now.

Now I seem to have got the pain relatively under control again, I’ll make an effort to get back on the cross-trainer and see if building up the leg muscles helps with the wobbliness. Might see about going for another cycle today later, as the sun seems to be making an appearance.
