I’m not sure how much it is related to the events and medication of Friday, but I’ve had a couple of days of generally feeling pretty crap (although lunch out with Cat and H on Sunday certainly cheered me up). I suppose it was no surprise then that, as I wandered between the bedroom and bathroom last night, when my left leg gave way, it went completely and I fell flat on my face. No damage done thankfully.
I got in touch with Queen’s Square today … eventually. After meandering through the phone system (the voice recognition element of which is crap – it was insistent that when I asked for neuroradiology I actually wanted urology of some sort), I was left on hold for over 30 minutes before having to give up because of a meeting. In the end I sent them (and PALS) an email to express my dissatisfaction. They rang me back an hour or so later to say they have rebooked me for the MRI on July 26th. I made it clear I wasn’t happy about another 6 week delay, and I think the lady got my point about ensuring it was the right scanner and that I wouldn’t get rebooked etc – I said it enough times!! Nothing back from PALS yet about how to get compensation for the costs etc, but I’ll give that a couple of days before considering raising a formal complaint.
