The MRI wasn’t as bad as perhaps it could’ve been. I was in there about 1 hour 15 in total I think and was in a lot of pain in my back by about half way through, and my left arm went dead. By the time I came out we were tight for time to get across London for the train, so ended up having to rush, which didn’t help.
By Friday I’d had a week of starting the pregabalin, so spoke to the GP to see what to do next. My overall assessment was that, after a couple of weeks of things being worse while I’ve been coming off the other meds, I’m probably back to about the position I was before starting to change, both in terms of pain and the burning in my foot. GP has recommended swapping the evening gabapentin for a second dose of pregabalin, and see how that goes for a week. Will talk to her again in about 10 days when I’ve seen the surgeon so we can discuss what happens next.
